What to have ready
Have the pickup and delivery addresses ready, along with the size of the home or office and your ideal date. If there is anything unusual, such as a piano, a large safe, or a third-floor apartment with no elevator, mention it up front.
Let us know early whether packing help is something you want. If you are unsure, we can walk through what full and partial packing actually cover so you can decide with real information rather than a guess.
It also helps to mention any appliance or furniture assembly work up front, since bundling it into the same booking keeps the crew scoped correctly for the day.
How the estimate gets built
For local jobs we estimate crew size and hours from your inventory and the access at both addresses. For long-distance jobs the figure is based on estimated weight and mileage, confirmed once the truck is loaded.
Larger homes and office moves usually get a walk-through, either in person or over a short video call. Smaller apartments can often be quoted from a written list of what needs to move.
When to reach out
For a move at the end of the month or during the summer, reach out three to four weeks ahead if you can. Mid-month dates in spring or fall can often be booked with just a week of notice.
If your situation is urgent because another company let you down, contact us anyway. Availability shifts week to week, and it costs nothing to ask whether a spot has opened up.
For jobs involving a piano, a safe, or another oversized item, reaching out even a little earlier lets us confirm the right crew size and equipment before your date locks in.
Questions before you commit
It is common to ask whether we move into storage units, whether we can help load a rented container, or whether we can pick up a single piece of furniture from a store. On most calls the honest reply is that we can handle it.
We are also glad to walk through elevator bookings, insurance certificates for apartment communities, and what happens if the weather turns on move day.
